Ms. Susie S.
With an international career spanning performance, conducting, and pedagogy, Ms. Susie S brings a unique blend of analytical precision and artistic passion to the piano. She is currently a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) candidate in Piano Performance at the Cleveland Institute of Music (CIM), studying under the mentorship of celebrated concert pianist Antonio Pompa-Baldi. She also holds a Master of Music from CIM and, highlighting the shared creativity between science and art, a Bachelor of Science in Materials Chemistry from Fudan University.
An award-winning performer, Ms. Susie captured first prize at the Prime Golden Bell Music Award of China and has performed in prestigious venues worldwide, from the Steinway & Sons Horowitz Recital Hall in Shanghai to music festivals in Italy. She is also a versatile collaborator who has directed musical theater productions such as Into the Woods, coached opera singers in Italy, and served as a church music director and organist in Cleveland.
As an educator with nearly a decade of experience, Ms. Susie manages a thriving global piano studio. She specializes in preparing students for international examinations (including the ABRSM framework) while custom-tailoring lessons using engaging, modern pedagogical methods. Fluent in both English and Mandarin, she is dedicated to helping every student discover their unique musical voice.
