Ms. Skylar’s academic background is as versatile as her teaching style. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Piano Performance with a minor in Psychology from Kent State University at Stark and completed her music therapy equivalency and guitar study at Cleveland State University. She is currently pursuing board certification as a Music Therapist (MT-BC) and Ohio licensure. Her professional experience spans healthcare and educational settings, allowing her to bring a sophisticated understanding of emotional expression, engagement, and individualized learning to her private studio.
In addition to her therapeutic training, Ms. Skylar has years of experience as a versatile piano and guitar educator. She emphasizes a strong technical foundation, age-appropriate strategies, and performance preparation, all while fostering intrinsic motivation.
