Ms. Lu is a distinguished collaborative pianist and educator currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) in Collaborative Piano at the Cleveland Institute of Music. With a rich background spanning her roots in China to the international stage, Ms. Lu has established herself as a versatile performer, having graced prestigious venues including the ArtSong Festival in Cleveland, the Bowdoin International Music Festival in Maine, the Beijing International Music Festival, and Music Fest Perugia in Italy.
She holds a Master of Music in Piano Performance and Collaborative Piano and has refined her craft under the guidance of eminent pedagogues such as Anita Pontremoli and Kathryn Brown. Her professional experience is extensive, including service as a keyboardist for the CIM Orchestra, a collaborative pianist at the CIM International Academy, and an organist at Eastshore United Methodist Church. Among her notable achievements, she was a finalist in the 2023 Duo Competition at the Music Academy of the West and received the Rosa Lobe Award from Mu Phi Epsilon.
Beyond her performance career, Ms. Lu is deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of musicians. Whether performing, teaching, or mentoring, she fosters a love for music that balances technical discipline with artistic expression. Ms. Lu believes that every lesson is an opportunity to help students build confidence, discover their unique musical voice, and experience the joy of making music.
