Ms. Chuting H.
Ms. Chuting H. loves sharing her joy of music with students of all ages, levels, and styles. She is a soprano currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Opera at the Cleveland Institute of Music. Her career spans contemporary music, musical theatre, folk, and opera, and she has performed in a variety of Chinese and Western operas as well as solo concerts. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance from Nanjing University of the Arts in China, studying under renowned vocal educators domestically and internationally, and has nearly ten years of vocal training and teaching experience.
In teaching, Ms. Chuting combines a solid technical foundation with practical stage experience. She has taught voice to children (ages 5–15) and adults at several music institutions in China, helping students improve both technique and stage presence. She served as vocal instructor for a district-level government choir in Nanjing, leading rehearsals and sectional training, and coordinated special class performances and stage projects at elementary schools, including vocal instruction, stage design, and concert organization.
While specializing in classical voice, Ms. Chuting also enjoys teaching pop, musical theatre, and folk music. She tailors her approach to each student, nurturing musical understanding, emotional expression, and confidence. Her cheerful personality and engaging teaching style create a lively, supportive, and professional learning environment.
She was awarded First Prize in the 2023 China-Korea International Vocal Competition and selected for the Salzburg Vocal Masterclass Program at the Frost School of Music, University of Miami, in 2024, further expanding her international perspective and teaching expertise.
