Hailed as “world class” by Cleveland.com, classical guitarist, Mr. Scott S maintains an active and distinguished career as both a performer and educator, serving Cleveland and the surrounding northeast Ohio area. He is sought after for performances in a wide range of settings, from special events to featured solo concerts, and is known for his refined musicianship and engaging stage presence.
Mr. Scott earned his Bachelor of Music in Guitar Performance from the University of Akron, graduating at the top of his class while studying with renowned guitarist James Marron, and later completed his Master’s Degree in Guitar Performance at the same institution. His academic accomplishments include multiple performance scholarships and top-five graduating honors.
In addition to an active performance career throughout northeast Ohio, Mr. Scott is a dedicated and enthusiastic educator with many years of experience teaching private guitar lessons. He works with students of all ages and ability levels, from beginners to advanced players, and believes that strong fundamentals, clear goals, and encouragement are key to long-term success. Mr. Scott customizes each lesson to the individual student’s interests and learning style, helping students build confidence, stay motivated, and make meaningful progress.
