Ms. Shayna R.

Ms. Shayna is a distinguished violinist and educator whose career spans three decades of excellence in both performance and pedagogy. Holding a Master of Music from Cleveland State University and a Bachelor of Music from West Virginia University, she brings an elite level of artistic training to every student. Her musical journey is truly global; her performance credits range from domestic ensembles like the Canton, Akron, and Wheeling Symphony Orchestras to international stages with the Cambridge Orchestra and Ely Sinfonia. Today, she continues to be an active performer with the Cleveland Philharmonic Orchestra.
Beyond her performance credentials, Ms. Shayna is a highly sought-after educator with a unique specialization in early development. An Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education and certification in early childhood music, combined with her experience as a former Suzuki program director, allow her to provide world-class instruction for students of all ages. She excels at bridging the gap between foundational musical literacy and advanced technical performance.
Since joining our faculty in 2016, Ms. Shayna has become a cornerstone of our program. Her 30-year teaching legacy is built on a foundation of patience, pedagogical rigor, and a deep, lifelong passion for music. She is dedicated to guiding students through their unique musical journeys, helping each one develop the discipline, confidence, and expressive voice necessary for a lifetime of musical enjoyment.
